Microsoft Xbox Series X and S
Microsoft's 4th console, and their 2nd confusingly named console. With the two releasing on November 10th, 2020 for the world, the X and S have varying hardware, with the X coming as the “more powerful” system. Both run an x86-64 based AMD Zen 2 CPU, with the X having 16 GB of RAM and the S having 10. Both run a Radeon-based RDNA 2 GPU, with the S having lower CUs and TFLOPs. Both can output up to 4K, while the X can go up to 8K. 12 million of them have shipped as of December 2021, and it can be safely said that most all of those units were sold too (shipped != sold).

Version & Revision Guide
For general information, see the Game Console Revisions Overview.
Versions
There are two versions of this console, arranged chronologically.
“Xbox Series X” (2020-present)
RECOMMENDED OVERALL
Fancier and better than the S, the X is the version of this system to feature an optical media drive. Coming in black, it contains more powerful hardware, which affords the system superior processing power in games and software. As for I/O, the Series X contains HDMI 2.1, Ethernet, storage expansion, 3 USB 3.2 ports, and of course the optical media drive.
“Xbox Series S” (2020-present)
LOWEST PRICE
Similar to the Series X, the Series S’ primary selling point is it’s lack of an optical media drive, and thus, a lower price. Coming in white, the hardware in this system is somewhat weaker than the Series X to enhance this lower price point. Outside of these two elements, the Series S is identical to the X in function, ports, and everything else.
There are no revisions within any version. BEST RELIABILITY couldn’t be assigned.
