Sony PlayStation 5
Sony's current system. Releasing on November 12th, 2020 in North America, the PS5's custom AMD Zen 2 CPU, 16 GB + 512 MB RAM, and resolution up to 3840 × 2160/7680 × 4320 is certainly powerful and performing well, although held back by supply chain roadblocks since launch. As of now, nothing in the name of EOPs is available for the system, although this will hopefully change sometime in the future…

Version & Revision Guide
For general information, see the Game Console Revisions Overview.
Versions
There are two versions of this console, arranged chronologically.
“PlayStation 5 (standard)” (2020-present)
RECOMMENDED OVERALL
The version of the PS5 that's capable of doing more. If you want to play physical copies of games, get this one. If you want to save a bit of money and don't care about disks, get the Digital Edition. Simple as that.
“PlayStation 5 Digital Edition” (2020-present)
LOWEST PRICE
No disk drive. Otherwise identical to the normal PS5 in capabilities. Get this if you value money more than disks.
Revisions
There are two revisions within both versions.
“1015B” (2020-2021)
The first PS5 revision. Lower temperatures, screwdriver required for the console stand, larger heatsink, “higher quality” construction.
“1100B” (2021-present)
The current PS5 revision. Hotter temperatures, quieter fans, smaller heatsink, no screwdriver required for the console stand. In other words, better than the 1015B in some ways, worse than others. In the end, it's basically evenly matched.
BEST RELIABILITY couldn’t be assigned.
