Version & Revision Guide

For general information, see the Game Console Revisions Overview.

There are two versions of this console, arranged chronologically.

“Game Master" (1990-1992/1993?/1994?)

RECOMMENDED OVERALL; LOWEST PRICE

Released under many different names that all possessed the same form factor, this version of the console came in a sideways design, similar to the Sega Game Gear. It appears to be compatible with all of the games released for Game Master country variants which are “sideways”. For this reason alone, this will be considered as the “superior” Game Master, even though the console still sucks.

“Delplay Game Plus” (1990-1992?)

DO NOT BUY

A French redesign of the Game Master, this version is easily distinguished by it’s vertical design that’s similar to the Nintendo Game Boy. Crucially, this version was rendered incompatible with cartridges for Game Master systems, making it essentially pointless to acquire, as the Game Plus cartridges are still playable on any Game Master system.

There are no revisions within any version. BEST RELIABILITY couldn’t be assigned.
