now I've got my own account on it and I can load any software I want

The stock system for this little device. With some hacks and workarounds in later-mentioned Linux-based systems, it can be opened up from the limited software and become a normal Windows XP tablet.

Xubuntu + others?

Stick in a 32bit xubuntu USB stick, switch around the boot order, and here we go

By accessing the BIOS and changing the boot order, it is possible to boot other OSes. This probably is an x86 based thing, so it would be easy to load on a lot of different systems.
