====== 3rd Generation ======

The 3rd generation of home game consoles, commonly considered as having began in 1985 with the release of the NES, and ending in the period between 1989 (release of TurboGrafx-16 and Sega Genesis) and 1991 (release of the SNES). Can be considered as the first generation to harness a true potential for the creation of EOPs, as hardware overheads were too restrictive in systems released prior to this period.
